As part of the Occupy Whatever hodgepodge, a local group of a whopping 12 people is planning an “Occupy Williamsburg” at the College of William and Mary this Saturday. The College of William and Mary is the second oldest university in the nation—Harvard being the first established university in the New World—and is known as the Alma Mater of a Nation having produced graduates like Thomas Jefferson and James Madison.
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the Williamsburg area has a poverty rate of 20.3%, twice the poverty rate of the rest of Virginia. Ostensibly, this is the reason for the local Occupy at the College.
I say ostensibly, because the words poverty and poor suggest an inability to obtain the basic necessities of life like food, clothing, heating, clean water and reasonable shelter. There is a very small portion of people like that in the 37 plus million people classified as poor by the U.S. Census Bureau, but such desperate straights do not apply to the majority of the so-called poor. In 2007, the Heritage Foundation published an analysis of poverty in America. The study showed that the extreme majority of “poor” have everything they need, including but not limited to, A/C and heating, cell phones, electricity, refrigerators, cars, good food, clothing and computers.
It seems to me that the working poor’s self-appointed socialist minders of Occupy aren’t complaining that the “working poor” don’t have what they need, but that they don’t live in Governor’s Land, MacClean, Lower Manhattan, the Hamptons, Malibu, La Jolla, South Beach or Beverly Hills. I suppose even the basic necessities are defined by what another person has; the very definition of class envy.
What exactly does the Occupy group want? That’s the big question even they can’t answer. One thing is clear: the Occupy program isn’t to bring about a rising tide that lifts all boats. It is to get theirs, which means everything. For example, most of them are unemployed philosophy majors with $100,000 student loan debts that they want forgiven and forgotten. That means let the taxpayer pay the nearly $1 trillion in student loans for these slugs. The program is “eat the rich,” or in other words, whoever they can screw. I wish the duped lefties would stop insisting on stupid ideas like one person has less because another has more as if wealth creation were a zero sum game.
America does not have a crisis of deprivation; it has a crisis of abundance. Obama’s demonizing of the “rich,” defined as those that produce and take care of themselves, has birthed Occupy Wall Street. These Levi’s-clad, Berkenstock-shod, protesters sip Starbucks coffee and smoke dope while they twitter on their iPhones and iPads condemning capitalism and American businesses—you know, the people that create jobs, create prosperity and do the hiring. They weep for corporate titan Steve Jobs, billionaire eight times over, and take marching orders from billionaire George Soros who is the quintessential evil capitalist and whoremonger of moveon.org
For those who don’t know, Soros made his billions of dollars fortune as a currency speculator for the Quantum Fund. He is infamous for crashing currencies, notably the Thai bhat, back in the 90’s. He is a billionaire who made his money producing absolutely nothing and has been convicted of insider trading. And now this incredibly greedy man with an insatiable lust for absolute power seeks to overthrow the one obstacle that stands in his way of grabbing total political power: The United States of America.
The Flea Party protests corporations that actually make stuff people want. The Flea Partiers aren’t even protesting Wall Street Bankers who have made precipitous gains from their alliances with Democrats. They take irresponsible risks and if they win, they keep the earnings but if they lose, they get bailed out by the government and we the taxpayers flip the bill. Yet, the idiot protesters go after the homes of corporate leaders who provide the employment.
The Flea Partiers need picket the White House and the Congress where the impoverishing policies are developed. Obama’s biggest campaign contributor, outside of Soros, has been the Wall Street bankers. The biggest cohorts of Wall Street looting have been Bill Clinton, Franklin Raines, Jamie Gorelick, Jim Johnson, Rahm Emanuel, Chris Dodd and Barney Frank. They are all Democrats.
And the acrimonious sloths of the Occupy movement either make exceptions in their “principles” to accommodate these lefty fools or they have no idea what’s going in their pot-smoke clouded are helping him do it. These slugs, saddled like I said with their $100,000 student loans and unmarketable philosophy degrees, have decided that their lack of decent employment is caused by the success of the millionaires on whose homes they are now marching. This brings the praise and applause of Obama and the Democrats who are envious of and threatened by the Tea Party’s power and the terror the Party’s righteous movement brings. Throw a little tea on Obama and he will dissolve like the Wicked Witch of the East: “What have you done? I’m meltinnnnngggg, ohhhh….”
The Tea Party has a program — less government, less regulation, less taxation, less debt. What’s the Occupy Wall Street program? Rob from those who produce and give to those who don’t.
The other day, Obama joined an Occupy mob and said he was one of the 99%. 99% of what is not clear, because they sure as hell don’t represent 99% of the American population. He must mean he’s one of the 99% of idiots. Whatever the percentage, he does not represent the majority of Americans and he is pretty nervy linking arms with these narcissistic ass-hats.
Or so one might think. For Obammy this is not about programs or policies. This is about scapegoating, a failed administration trying to save itself by stirring up envy enmity, turning general discontent into rage against a malign few.
Desperate Obama knows exactly what he’s doing. Since blaming the Bush administration, or the Republicans, or the Japanese supply chain interruption, or the Arab Spring or global warming didn’t work to raise his approval ratings, he now hopes these big-goverment anarchists will bring energy to his cause. He doesn’t care that the misery America is suffering from now is a direct result of the Democrats’ horrific social engineering policies, like the Community Reinvestment Act that started caused the housing bust, nor does he care about the potential violence called for by the leaders of the Occupy (bowel) movement, as long as it gives him a shot at reelection.
How can Obama’s clearly destructive thinking even appeal to anyone? Two scriptures come to mind that explain the greed and the covetousness of the left and of the people that so easily succumb to the left’s exploitations:
“Hell and destruction are never full; so the eyes of man are never satisfied.” Proverbs 27:20
“The leech has two daughters. ‘Give, give,’ they cry.” Proverbs 30:15
These surely explain the motivation of the Occupy Wall Street.
